Mrs. Hiram Barber of Veale township died Saturday afternoon from pneumonia age 67. Funeral held at Aikman Creek Baptist Church with Rev. J. L. Henderson. She was born March 9 1863 in Davies County and lived there all her life. Surviving: husband Hiram Barber and ten children including Eva Maynard Seattle and William Barber Anderson. James A. Bandit robs New York theater of at least $11000
A midnight show at a Times Square theater was halted as a young bandit robbed the theater treasurer and fled with about $11,000. Police traced a Ford Tudor seen near the scene, but no arrests followed. The bandit, about 25, neatly dressed, wore a light hat and spats and escaped west on Walnut Street.
