Constable Ebert Shaw of Columbus Indiana arrested Horace C Boyd away without leave from Camp Shelby Mississippi. He said he married Monday at Jeffersonville and planned to return to Miss. camp to be with his wife.
Representative Vestal of Indiana today introduced in the House a bill granting a straight $50 a month pension to all Civil War veterans who served over thirty days and held honorable discharges. Nancy Ann McCracken aged 72 died at her Barr township home south of Montgomery after a lung ailment. She was born February 14 1845 in Monroe County Indiana and is survived by several children. The report notes her husband Charles McCracken and lists her as a local resident.
