Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Jenne were held Monday at 4 o'clock at Anderson Chapel on the Petersburg pond with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Pallbearers were Elmer Pickett Joseph Pickett Clinton Ivy Leonard Southerland Rollin Wade. Flower bearers were Adeline Helen Immelham Deloras Jenne and Dorothy DeJarnett.
City officials sold an old safe once kept in the City Light and Power office. The heavy safe was moved from city hall by truck yesterday to Montgomery for use there.
The American Legion post in Washington will hold a meeting tonight at 7 30 at the courthouse. Members are urged to attend for routine business and upcoming events.
