Clover yields fall short for Poindexter at Epsom farm
Poindexter a farmer in Epsom on the Chas Osman district reports a record clover crop yield with unusually good luck. After threshing, the end acres yielded only four bushels per acre, far below the seven to eight bushels average cited by others. With seed valued at $20 a bushel, Poindexter still expects a strong crop thanks to a good clover hay yield from the field.
