Oscar Loveless, 22, of Fifth and streets, was arrested last night for forging a $9 check and signing Samuel Smith’s name. He confessed to cashing the check at Hugh L. Cox clothing store, buying a cap, and receiving $6.50 in change. Held pending charges, with relatives in Washington and Pike county. Also involved, George Tomey, 35, arrested and released to Greene county authorities for passing fraudulent checks at Linton and Lyons.

Giant project to start soon on Maysville bridges
