Chicago April 2. Mrs John P Edstrand of 1908 Cuyler avenue was warned by saloonkeeper H J Newman at 4508 Lincoln avenue that her husband might shoot. Newman heard a shot and screams before fleeing to the Edstrand residence. Edstrand and his wife were wounded and their three children stood nearby as Edstrand shot himself in the chest. The wife was hospitalized with multiple wounds and Edstrand’s condition was listed as critical.
