Democratic official list theft sparks county board scare

A list of Democratic officials to serve on the May primary election board was stolen by Fred Doboyn, chairman of the Daviess County Central Committee, and the clerk of the court. The document details precinct by precinct officers including judges clerks and sheriffs across Barr, Bogard, Elmore, Harrison, Meek, Reeve and adjacent townships with numerous misspellings in the names reflecting hurried OCR text.

Funeral services for George Holstine in Elnora

George Holstine age 79 died at home in Elnora. Funeral Thursday at 2 pm at the Christian church with burial in Fairview cemetery. His wife died Friday last after a short pneumonia illness. Survivors include three children a step son and a brother. Born in Salem Indiana February 8 1853 to William and Mrs Holstine. The couple were well known residents of northern Daviess County.
