Paducah Kentucky April 25 Two madmen escaped from a state hospital at Hopkinsville were hunted for kidnapping and criminally attacking a woman taxicab driver. Police identified them as Lefty King and William Hollis both from Central City and Eddyville. They abducted Mrs. Helen Vanover in Owensboro, held her 12 hours and assaulted her then drove to Shawneetown Illinois where the cab broke down. They then held up a farmer Philip Promm and his son, tied them, set the taxi afire and fled in Promm’s car.
