Police received word of a theft at the residence of C. G. Harmon at 1703 Vincennes last night. The birds weighed two to two and a half pounds each and were from a farm or yard. State police were notified and radioed about the missing fowls in an attempt to recover them.
Mr Carey a longtime resident returns as superintendent of the St Louis division for the B and O Railway. He previously served as division train master and has held many responsible posts in Washington before taking the present appointment.
Leading citizens along the Louis division route are listed as high officials of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company. Washington shops show Ed C. Cavey as division superintendent and A W Conley as train master among others. Additional officers include W Elmore division engineer and J W Starbaugh rear foreman of engines.

The Daviess Martin Bar Association met in regular session today at the Bluebird Cafe. Members voted to close offices on Thursday afternoons during June July and August, continuing a practice from prior years. Two committees were designated for service with names listed for each.

The rise damages wheat clover and alfalfa, forcing many farmers to plow under for corn and soybeans. Wheat on higher ground remains in good condition with potential yields from 30 bushels per acre.
A Wichita restaurant owner reports two well dressed women entered, ordered large dinners, waited through service, then, in unison, picked up the meals and hurled them through an open window, puzzling staff and prompting an investigation into a possible practical joke.

Harvey of Danville bid 10 915 dollars for a temporary bridge on Road 41 over Lake Branch south of Oaktown. Funeral attendees included Mr and Mrs Theodore Rew ing to a brother-in-law Herman Horn in Inglefield.
Vincennes Indiana April 25 4INS Mrs Bezy widow of Frank Bezy a tularemia victim received a 1200 judgment in circuit court against John Marone second street tavern operator. The suit filed and settled by attorneys for both parties entered in court records.
Thomas, head of a company employing 13,000 workers with a large annual payroll, leads negotiations as coal operators seek to end a deadlock. The dispute centers on wages, hours, and working conditions, amid a broader clash between Lewis of the CIO and Green of the AFL. The operators say the coal business is uniquely hard hit despite offering the same pay and hours as the past two years.
