Roy M. Dick Falls, about 55 years old and a barber in Washington for around a decade, died of a heart attack at his West Main street shop near 8 am. An inquest was planned by C. P. Scudder, with a shop witness to testify. Born near Monroe City Indiana, Falls lived in Wheatland and Washington, worked at Wheatland’s Old State Ward Mine, and was active in Masonic lodge work. He played mandolin guitar at Central Christian church and was widowed about 17 years ago. a sister, Mrs. Albert Lee of Grown Point Indiana, is the only close surviving relative. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. body at Donaldson & Richardson Funeral Home in Wheatland.

Bedford Indiana April 22 Samuel Pierce 69 year old farmer pleaded guilty to murder to spare his family trial expense and worry Lawrence County court records show Pierce faces life sentence for the stabbing death of neighbor Earl Roach 51 after sending a note to the court asking that no one be burdened or supported by his family he later told an officer that both Roach and he were out of the way and his family could live peacefully now he was taken to the state region yesterday
