Through the generosity of the B and O Railroad the needy today received gifts of bologna and wiener for distribution by Mayor McCarty. About 2,000 five pound blocks stored in a refrigerated car were unneeded and placed for the poor. Assistant Lt Jwrly helped distribute the provisions today.

Roulette wheel rigged in Arkansas trial linked to Spear case
In Hot Spétoge Arkansas in the Ed Spear trial a crooked roulette wheel was described as used in the alleged scheme. Frank P. Fox of Terre Haute testified he lost about $60 000 to the device and that John McKenzie, an electrical engineer, helped move the wheel to a Chicago house. Charles Bryan, owner of the store from which the wheel was seized, said the wheel was in the store the entire time Fox claimed he lost his money.
