Died of apoplexy veteran of Civil War
James T. Wood, formerly of Plataville, died of apoplexy after a furniture and undertaking career. The body was buried in Platnville cemetery on Tuesday. A Civil War veteran, he had lived in Plataville a few years ago. Two fires struck the city at noon, one at Mrs. Manda bach on Sycamore Street causing minor damage, and a gasoline store explosion at Zedi Bonharm’s east Fifth Street home causing about three dollars in damage.
