Henry Bobnert Killed in Coal Mine Accident Near Sullivan
Henry Bobnert former city marshal of Washington was killed at the Gilmoor mine twelve miles east of Sullivan Indiana. He died after being struck by a coal car moved by electric switch controls while he stood on the track. He was 52, lived in Terre Haute recently, and leaves a large family. Burial at St John’s Cemetery.

Ilenes Evang aged seventy died this afternoon at 2 30 on the old Lacy property 412 southeast Eleventh Street. Born in Bellmont County Ohio he came to Daviess County about 1470 and lived on farms west of Odon later moving to a farm south of the city. He bought the Lary property and later moved to town. He leaves a widow and two children Dr John L Evans of Wichita Wayne and A C Evans of Nevada. His wife and relatives are named as members of the lodge and funeral arrangements are pending.
