In Gneeries, Ind, April 16 a Chevrolet coach was stolen from the jail Sunday night. A bystander claimed to hear the vehicle fleeing the scene but thought it was some people driving away. The incident centers on Sheriff Kruse’s stolen car.

Two year old Joseph Padgett son of Lee Padgett of Rural Route 4 fell from the steps at home this morning, fracturing his left elbow. X rays were taken at Dr Kleindorfer’s office and the arm was placed in a cast.
In Jeffersonville Indiana on April 16 Anta Bell Shelton twenty four confessed to a merchants by worthlessness charge after leaving six children with friends in Wise Landing Kentucky. She received a two to four year sentence. Albert Stone forty seven, named as accomplice, pleaded not guilty and is held on five hundred dollar bond.

Harley Kindred city employee sustained painful injuries this morning including a gash over the right eye and a sprain to the left wrist. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. Mr Kindred lives at 6 Pearl Street.
A. C. Fulkerson, principal of the H local school, reports Mrs. Fulkerson resting nicely after a major operation performed several days ago at a hospital in Indianapesty. Condition listed as good and improving.
