Ten laborers were hurt when a gravel loading trestle near Vincennes collapsed Saturday. One, Ward Corneilison, was found dead Sunday evening. others suffered broken bones, internal injuries, and crushed limbs. Most were employed unloading gravel for repairs. Jefford was a bystander.
