Fire officials report no concrete identification yet of those making false alarms though a $25 reward has been promised for information leading to arrests and convictions. Several Hurt In Auto Crash West Of Lebanon
Lebanon April 5 one person was severely injured and other occupants of two autos suffered minor injuries in a head on collision eight miles west of Lebanon on State Road 39. Mrs Vaneta Smith wife of Joe Smith of the Indianapolis Times circulation department was nearly scalped after being thrown from the rear seat through the windshield. Occupants included Paul Jordan Lebanon representative of the Indianapolis Star and his wife and Mr and Mrs Joe Smith and Mr and Mrs Ola Walton all injured but not seriously.

Elkins of Elnora Dies After Illness and Hip Injury
Van Buren Elkins aged nine years, well known, died at his daughter Charles Hastings home in Elnora. Death was due to infirmities of age and complications from a broken hip suffered in youth. Elkins was born in Paoli Indiana and spent most of his life in the state, living in Illinois briefly. He married Phoebe Dillon years ago. Two children survived by this union are Mrs. Jens Rae and Maudie Si famianie, with two others deceased. He organized the school in Elmore.

13 Year-Old Bateman Drowns in Patoka River

Aged father of George Hartig dies after illness
Nicholas Hartig 77, longtime resident and former mill proprietor, died at daughter Anna Cosby's home in Terre Haute after a two week illness. He was born in New Alsace and moved to the city as a youth, worked as blacksmith then became a mill partner. Survivors include several children in Terre Haute and Chicago, with funeral at St Patrick's Church in Terre Haute Monday at 9. Burial in Terre Haute follows.
