James O'Brien Falls to Death from Opera House Window
James O'Brien, a special policeman at the opera house, fell headlong from a second story window at 9 o'clock Friday. He struck the concrete pavement, died instantly from a broken neck and crushed skull. Eyewitnesses included Elza Soddith and Bain Farris, while Jesse Horraff saw the fall. The body was taken to his family home at 1109 East Vine Street.
