Installation of Dr Johnson at Fresh Presbyterian Church
The Presbytery of Newton will meet today to receive Rev. Frederick W. Johnson D D and formally install him as pastor of the Fresh Presbyterian Church of Washington. A reception follows at 4 o'clock. Johnson came from Clayton Nebraska where his relations with the Presbytery of West Jersey were dissolved October 20. The morning service drew a large crowd and featured an anthem. Johnson spoke on being born again and likened salvation to rescuing a derelict. A big attendance, warm greetings, and a social hour are anticipated as an auspicious start to his pastorate. The article also notes numerous local visitors and residents attending or visiting family and friends in the area.
