Robt Lott Sentenced For Five Years In New Jersey Case

The Court of Quarter Sessions in Warren county convened to sentence Robert Lott after a jury convicted him of burning a dwelling. Judge Schalta granted no new trial. Lott received five years at Trenton. Jurors and court officials then drawn for the April term. a long list of names appeared, with reports of a carriage accident involving Mr Umberger and a horse near the scene.

Accident at the stove ends life of elderly man

An inquest in Covarear's case found Andrew Allan, about eighty two, dead from burns after his clothes ignited while seated near a hot stove. Neighbors reported smoke and a strong odor, and Coroner Joseph Vann presided as the jury returned a verdict of accidental death. The man had long served at the local Presbyterian church pipe organ before his death.
