Mob lynching in Princess Anne shocks Maryland county

Reports describe a Black man named Andrews killed by a mob in Princess Anne after being held at the jail and paraded to the court. He had been convicted of assault near Marl on May 8 and was brought to trial when the mob overpowered officials and hanged him, then shot and left him suspended near the courthouse as authorities attempted to intervene. The incident mirrors a recent Ohio mob death. The text also notes the Washington High School commencement exercises and a church excursion to Liland Park with details on programs and tickets.
