Insurance Code Too Rigid Committee to Seek Change in New York Law
The Committee of Fifteen, formed at the February Chicago insurance convention, will propose modifications to New York's insurance code to increase liberality. The annual meeting of state insurance commissioners will convene Tuesday at the Arlington Hotel with James D O'Brien of Minnesota as president guiding the report on a uniform code. Johnson of Minnesota and actuaries from major insurers will attend as deliberations address the code's rigidity, notably its expense provisions and company size limits, which may be altered. President Roosevelt will receive the delegates Wednesday at 2:30 pm.
