Toulon September 25 1911 The battleship Liberte exploded her magazines and was destroyed with 435 officers and men dead. Republique and the battleships Democratic and Verite suffered heavy damage as twisted wreckage filled the decks. Fire and smoke alarmed the squadron but fires were contained and the disaster is described as the greatest in French naval history. Rescue efforts continue while muster rolls are prepared to detail the loss.

A passerby found him and he was revived and later recovered enough to name his attackers who were arrested and held for a hearing.
Mrs Rena Moore of Williamson West Virginia is held for grand jury on charges she threw a bomb into the servants quarters at the home of Thomas Garner newspaper man Williamson. The blast killed Mrs Mary Davidson and her 14 year old son. A witness is jailed for questioning.

Louis Zick a house painter fell from a scaffold at the J W Putta building in Baltimore while exiting a shopping district afternoon. He died at Maryland General Hospital about thirty minutes later.
