Church and Masonry Unite at St Albans Cathedral Site
Thousands of Masons from the District marched to the site of the planned Protestant Episcopal Cathedral at St Albans. Dr J Henting Nelms urged church and Masonry to support each other, linking cathedral aims with Masonry’s principles and noting the church’s need for strong moral leadership. Bishop Harding and a Marine Band led the service, with a 150-voice choir. A new pastor, Rev Charles Everest Granger, will begin duties at Gunton Temple Memorial Presbyterian Church next Sunday.
