Payne Defends the Tariff at Lyons Rally
Serena Wlisha Payne chairman of the ways and means committee and Republican leader on the House floor was unanimously renominated for a fourteenth term by the Thirty first district Republicans in Lyons New York. He defended the Payne tariff bill saying amendments improved it and that the law created a surplus while noting price rises are global and not tied to tariff changes.
