May Get Land for Taxes In District Sale Bid
Lewlis C Wilson acting District supervisor recommended to Commissioners that W Grosa be allowed to buy back two lots 4 and 6 in the square bounded by L and Mi Thirty-fourth and Thirty-second streets NW where taxes are due. Back taxes without interest and advertising charges may be accepted if payment and all unpaid taxes to date are made within 15 days. The tax averages only 1 to this year and Wilson argues it would be good administration to clear taxes dating back twenty years before they are barred by the statute. The District will lose little revenue and advertising costs.
