Pennsylvania Railroad sells stakes in three railroads

The Pennsylvania Railroad announces it has disposed of portions of its holdings in the Baltimore and Ohio, Norfolk and Western, and Baltimore and Ohio holdings. The move follows six years of ownership acquired to influence managements away from secret rebates. Current holdings totaled 1,300,000 in the B&O and 25,839,000 in the Norfolk and Western.

Trolley Collision Injures Eighteen Near Peru Indiana

A Fort Wayne and Wabash Valley Traction trolley stalled on a steep grade near Peru halted to repair a break when a second car came down the hill at high speed crashing into the stopped car. Eighteen people were injured, three gravely. The seriously hurt are Charles Watte Miss Marie Shuck and Miss Lallen Richie all of Kokomo Indiana.
