Plucky Woman Fights Colored Thief In Her Home

Mrs. Anna Hill confronted a twelve year old colored boy who forced entry at 11 s lock 4 day morning. She restrained him until police arrived after he bit and clawed her, injuring her arms. Langley resigns as Census official to seek Kentucky seat

John W. Langley resigns as appointment officer in the Census Office and accepts the Republican nomination for Representative in Congress from Kentucky’s Tenth District. Born January 14, 1884 at Prestonburg, Ky, Langley pursued law, held two terms in the Kentucky legislature, and previously served on pensions appeals. He married in 1904 to the daughter of J B Gudger, a North Carolina congressman.

Victim of Girl's Star Refuses to Prosecute in Attack Case
