Geographical Exhibit Train to Promote Northwestern States
A “geography on wheels” will tour 22 cities from St Paul starting November 7 to reach Washington on December 7. Governors from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, the Dakotas, Minnesota, Colorado, and Wyoming will present demonstrations of state advantages. Western officials will join in St Paul for a conference to form information bureaus about the West. The aim is to curb Canadian emigration by showing Easterners the Northwest’s opportunities and to educate children through school visits.
