Trade review notes steady U S market expansion in dry goods and footwear
R G Dunn's Weekly Review of Trade reports continued growth in large centers with lower prices spurring orders. Pig iron weakness persists, and plate and structural material face sharp competition. Dry goods mills show rising operations while footwear buyers place larger contracts. Wool and cotton trades vary with China setbacks and Red Sea stability. Business failures for week ending Oct 19 tally 28, down from earlier years.
