RITTERS PUNISHED FOR ASSAULT ON POLICEMAN
Charles Bailey and Lane Jackson, colored, were fined heavily by Judge Mul Towney in Police Court for assaulting Patrolman E. Dulin of the Third precinct. Beatie paid 109 and the other 20, or face five and eight months in the workhouse. The assault occurred in Green’s court near Twenty second Street. Dulin’s arm was paralysed temporarily as the mob tried to free the prisoners. he defended himself with his revolver. Watchman Bayard Williams aided Dulin.
