Pinchot's New Issue Seeks Oil and Mineral Land Title
Gifford Pinchot charges the government with failing to exhaust all means to challenge railroads to mineral lands and to reassert title in the people. He claims billions in land values including oil, coal, and precious metals, with estimates reaching 500 million in oil lands and 150 million in coal lands.
Pinchot pushes bold bid on mineral land rights
Gifford Pinchot launches a sweeping campaign to revise land and mineral rights policy arguing the government must reclaim oil and mineral wealth from railroads.
