Charged Wife With Theft in Savannah to New York

William Hennett, a traveling salesman from New York, telegraphed Savannah police to arrest his wife Catherine Bennett for robbery aboard a Southern fast northbound train. She was jailed overnight, Bennett later withdrew the charges, and the couple departed for New York.

Death of Alexandria resident found sitting on street corner

David Brown a well known Alexandria resident was found sitting against a street post near Prince and Union streets by John Lucas. Police and Coroner Moore investigated and autopsy by Dr William M Smith cited valvular heart disease as the cause. Brown aged about forty, unmarried, had worked at Luna Park until its closure and was seen at the Marine Railway and Coal Company plant early yesterday. His body was moved to 10% North Royal Street to remain with George W Brown, his brother-in-law.

Small schooner dismantled after gust near Virginia shore
