Flower of the Day Sundrops from coast to coast

Flower of the Day describes sundrops, in the evening primrose family, growing one to five feet tall in dry fields and fence corners from Nova Scotia to Georgia. It bears one bloom atop a wand like stem, with bees and butterflies feeding on hidden nectar, flowering from June to October. A Philadelphia Press note adds a light literary aside about Miss Prim and Miss Pert, followed by a line about new wedding decoration schemes from Shaffer.
