Old Carroll Mansion Transformed Into Sweatshops

The Lombard and Front streets mansion once famed as a South landmark houses twelve Jews sewing garments on two floors. The second floor hosts L. H. Greenleaf cloaks staff, while other rooms rot with dirt and rags. Once the Carrolls hosted Washington and Lafayette, now the home is a real estate listing with remaining private rooms used for manufacturing and storage.
