Father throws son into Monongahela river in apparent murder suicide
Pittsburgh Oct 1 late tonight Patrick Coyne, drunk and memory blank, hurled his three year old son from the Twenty second street bridge into the Monongahela and followed after him in an apparent act of self harm. The boy is missing and feared drowned while Coyne was rescued, taken to hospital in unconscious condition. He later recalled nothing of the act and mentioned no motive other than drinking. Coyne is from Clearfield County. his exact hometown is unknown.

Child Killed in Yonkers Streetcar Crash on Steep Hill
A Yonkers Street Railway runaway car plunged down a steep incline and derailed at a turn, killing a child in its mother's arms and injuring about a score of passengers.
