Foraker's Mischief Defeats Herrick in Ohio Canvass
William E. Chandler blames Senator Foraker for undermining Gov Herrick's bid by injecting opposition to President Roosevelt's railroad rate reform. The article cites party tensions, local issues, and an appeal from Charles Dick urging support for the Interstate Commerce Commission powers. Chandler argues a united pro Roosevelt stance would have secured victory and warns of Republican danger without clear backing of the President's plan.
