A sweeping cold front and severe storms caused extensive damage from Wisconsin to Ohio. Dozens dead or missing, hundreds injured, and property losses tallying in the millions as ships on the lakes suffered and towns faced widespread wreckage in the perilous weather event.
A brutal storm sweeps the East and South with multiple deaths reported. Sixteen men are rescued from beacons near Mobile Bay after hours of exposure. others are feared dead. In Chicago Easton and Springfield reports cite two deaths and several injuries. A couple dies from fright as their home collapses in a field near Belea Bltea.

New London Conn Nov 12 word from Fort Terry Pim Island reports about 9 pm an unknown two masted schooner sank near Plum Gut with likely all but the captain drowned. An hour later the captain clung to wreckage and ashore others tried to land but perished in a wave. A man washed ashore unconscious cannot be identified.
A fierce wind storm on the Potomac last night left two Alexandrian launches missing while another, the Dive, ran ashore opposite Fort Foote. The Dixie was driven ashore in mud with passengers reportedly preparing to abandon ship. Alexandria crews raced to locate the vessels as the cold wave swept Washington, dropping temperatures toward 20 degrees. No injuries reported, but damage to vessels, a window, and telegraph lines occurred amid widespread disruption.
President Taft arrives at Union Station ending a 15 000 mile journey and begins plans for his third annual message. He seeks absolute divorce, custody of their child, and restoration of his wife’s maiden name.
Clarence F. McMurray, father of Miss Helen McMurray, denies an engagement to Lieut Edward Starz of the Austrian army and says he will not settle the breach of promise suit brought for 5000 dollars. Starz sues in Troy, New York. Helen and mother are at Lenox, Massachusetts.
A report states the crown prince must apologize to the chancellor for his act. Dr von Heydelrand allegedly warned the Reichstag that the crown prince should undergo a few days detention at Danaig residence. If true, the directive reflects Hohenzollern authority over family members.
Lisle McCall, aged 70, was shot and killed by her husband Roger McCall, 91, in their Macon Georgia home as she slept. Deputies found McCall on the bed with a shotgun nearby and no statement or motive given. The sheriff reported the husband remained silent.

A separate note says Robert G Fowler could not continue his transcontinental flight in Texas due to rail car delays but plans to resume when a car is provided.

He boarded a parson and fled toward Baltimore with his wife aboard, as Mary mourns the fate of a married woman. The choice of Mary over Betty stemmed from jealousy and a plan to thwart Edwards’s marriage to Mary.
