District Con Not Presented Against Colvin A Chronicle Tale
An affidavit from the Citizens Association to the board alleges Colvin is a negro, citing sworn statements from residents near Fallauwer and Auburn VA where Colvin was born. It claims Colvin’s mother is black, a brother votes as a negro, and Colvin was widely regarded as such. Discussion arose on possible boycotts of the school unless children withdraw, with a suggestion to pursue legal action to test compulsory school segregation law. Also notes shoppings losses and a separate assault case.

Why Old Remedies Failed
A historical examination criticizes several public remedies for rheumatism and blood diseases. It argues alcohol, lead, opium, and mercury in treatments worsen conditions, while prescriptions only slow acid formation without removing toxins from blood, thus failing to cure rheumatism.
Why Rheumacide Should Cure
A promotional note touts Rheumacide as a scientifically formed blood purifier free of plum mercury alcohol or harmful drugs. It claims vegetable composition safe for infants and effective against blood disease germs by cleansing poisons from the blood and addressing the disease cause.
Doctors Prescriptions and Uric Acid Danger
Conscientious physicians avoid prescribing such drugs for continuous treatment. Doctors know that excess uric acid in the blood causes rheumatism and leads to complications.
Evidence That It Does Cure Rheumacide Promises Relief
Eminent physicians praise Rheumacide as the best remedy combination yet found for Rheumatic Gout. Hundreds claim complete cures after other treatments fail, with letters from grateful patients. A sample from Atlantic City describes a yearlong battle with severe symptoms alleviated after a brief course of three bottles.
Get at the Joints From the Inside Rheumacide Claim
An advertisement proclaims Rheumacide cures Rheumatism by cleansing the blood. It asserts the disease lies in the blood and promises to cure indigestion, constipation, liver and kidney troubles, catarrh, grippe, and contagious blood diseases. It urges readers to obtain a bottle from a druggist or request a free test from Bobbitt Chemical Co.
