Foreman Survives 10000-Volt Shock At Substation
Special to The Washington Post reports Ernest Scudder foreman at the New York and Queens Railroad substation in Purvis street Long Inland City received a 10000 volt shock while pulling a lever at a switchboard. He was enveloped in blue flame, clothing burned, flesh burned on face neck breast and right arm, and he was unconscious. He was taken to St John's Hospital where doctors expect recovery.
