New York April 20 The bears pushed prices lower in the final hour of trading with losses of 2 to 2 points on standard issues and about 3 on specials. Trading was light early, then active as the market declined passing the million share mark.

New York April 30 Pennsylvania Railroad reports lower net railway operating income in March due to higher maintenance and transportation expenses from severe weather. 54 percent of freight cars are in bad order, 19 percent of power units needing repairs, with plans to meet traffic by improving order levels. Experts foresee a reduced overall March net, around 86.0 million dollars, from an earlier forecast of 95 million.
