Southern Railway awarded about 5 million dollars in contracts to W. J. Oliver of Knoxville, the nation’s largest railroad contractor. Wrestler Kemp Dies From Neck Injury At Penn

Philadelphia March Kemp a University of Pennsylvania student died in university hospital from injuries suffered in a wrestling bout two weeks earlier. He fractured a neck vertebra during a head spin while trying to reduce weight for intercollegiate competition. Kemp remained unconscious until his death.
