Rich widow to inherit vast Smith fortune and jewels
New York reports Mrs James Henry Smith, widow of James Henry Smith, could become one of the richest women in the world if she inherits his estate valued at 75 to 80 million dollars. Her jewels include a diamond serpent bracelet and corpse necklet with 2000 one carat diamonds worth 250000, plus a dog collar necklace arrangement. The will, drawn in Scotland, may place most of the fortune to the widow, facing social reaction from Rhinelander Stewart family connections. The body may be returned from London around April 10.
