Princeton Hopes Rest on Freshman Prospects in 1905 Baseball

Princeton hopes for a strong 1905 baseball season as 11 entering class players remain as candidates. Last year’s departures left gaps at outfield, first base, and shortstop, but a slate of fresh candidates including Cos Brave’s four-year tenure and several Exeter and Central High picks promise depth in pitching, catching, and infield. Batter strength remains uncertain, though Wells and Forsythe show limited intercollegiate success, with several freshmen and veterans competing for key roles. Additionally, Henry from Penn and Heim from Exeter are noted as strong batters and fielders, while the outfield trio Underhill Cosgrave and Stevens are hard to replace.
