Royal Benefit Society Withdraws Charges Against Drake
The Royal Benefit Society withdrew more than sixty charges against Thomas E. Drake, superintendent of insurance, amid a reconsideration request by attorney Henry E. Davis. The move is seen as a vindication of Drake, with Commissioners likely to abandon further action. Davis's advice framed the matter as a legal issue rather than personal attack. Corporations Counsel Duvall, away, will review the questions upon his return next week.
