Senator Fletcher and Senator Smith lead a Senate investigation group with other congressmen likely to speak or sit on stage. D A R leaders back the project and aim to use Continental Hall for the ceremonies. The program includes opening and closing prayers by Senate chaplains and a sermon by a noted pastor. the memorial will honor Maj Archibie Butt Clarence Moore and Francis D Miller among the Washington victims and Col Archibald Gracie who died after the disaster.
