Special to The Washington Post New York March 16 Mrs Hugh J Grant wife of the former mayor and her ten year old son Hugh Jr along with nurse Mrs D M Brown escaped with injuries after their auto was hit on Sixth Avenue at Fifty first street. The chauffeur veered onto trolley tracks to avoid an obstacle and a northbound car struck the rear of the vehicle. Mrs Grant injured by broken glass and knocked unconscious. former mayor reacted with anger saying only fortune saved them from serious harm. The car was declared a total loss by Grant.

Inebriate halts train on Sixth Avenue El
A drunken man wedged between car platforms halted the southbound Sixth Avenue Elevated at Thirty sixth Street for fifteen minutes this afternoon. Crowds in Herald Square watched guards struggle to free him before the train was uncoupled and moved on with the man aboard. In Cincinnati on March 16 Judson Harmon as receiver of the Cincinnati Hamilton and Dayton Railroad obtained a supplementary order. The order cancels the supplemental collateral trust mortgage dated July 1, 1905, covering 4 million dollars of bonds tied to the first mortgage.
