Russell Is Now Bishop in Baltimore Church Rite
Baltimore witnessed a grand historic rite as Charles J. Russell was consecrated bishop with a solemn mass at the cathedral. Cardinals bishops and priests from Washington to Savannah attended the rite with rich ceremonial symbols, apostolic mandates, and a Te Deum finale. The new bishop received the miter ring and pectoral cross and gave his first episcopal blessing amid orchestral triumph.
