Protest Against Street Rail Tracks Near Army and Navy Club
Brig Gen E A Goodwin, president of the Army and Navy Club, objects to Capital Traction Company plans for street railway tracks on Seventeenth and T Streets NW. He says the club’s Seventeenth and T site, valued around 504,000, would drop at least 20 percent in value, deter parking, and create noise and congestion during events. The commission has not yet acted and has not referred the request to the engineer for a report.
