Cathedral School Boys Choir to Present Representative Church Music
Preparations by the 25 boys choir of the Cathedral School for Boys for a forthcoming program of church music. The lineup includes pieces by Parker Noble Mendelssohn Stainer and Elijah. Funded by Harriet Lane Johnson’s bequest, the Lana Johnson building and an endowment support free maintenance and training of boys in the cathedral service. A separate note: a petition to Congress seeks a DC prohibition referendum, arguing current measures threaten freedom of conscience and personal rights.
