Long Lost Bassford Estate Unveiled in Bronx Inquiry

Court guardians backed by city figures faced eleven years of delays as land vanished into mortgages and tax sales. New evidence shows large tracts passed to an allied family branch, with city officials and corporations implicated in historic real estate dealings. A Bronx dealer spurred the discovery by pressing for quitclaims, leading to renewed investigations of hundreds of title transactions and potential profits from long neglected parcels.
